Thank you for dropping by. My name is Roger Ibbotson and I am the President and C.E.O. of Tridon Communications. We proudly serve the communities of Fort McMurray, Athabasca, and Edmonton specifically and all of north eastern Alberta in general in the spirit and letter of our company Mission Statement…

When all is said and done the only thing of value any of us truly have is our reputation. And a man’s reputation and true wealth can only be judged by the number of people who call him friend. By that definition, I am both proud and humbled to say that I am a very wealthy man indeed, because I have been blessed with many people who trust me to do the right thing every time. Many years ago my most trusted friend gave me this quote that I have practiced closely in all my business dealings since….

  • Religiously and without exception follow the ideals I list in this letter regardless of whether or not you have to, but simply because it’s the right thing to do.
  • Live your life, both your personal life and your business life, by a code of Honour and Integrity that far exceeds simply telling the truth. Live your life by “The Knight’s Code” and people will follow you with pride.
  • Surround yourself with like-minded people who share these ideals equally and with passion, and never allow those who don’t to remain in the company.

Tridon Communications is the preeminent supplier of wireless communication equipment and services to the Oil Sands of Alberta and has been so for over 30 years.  We are locally owned and operated with over 140 staff and fully equipped service shops in Fort McMurray, Fort McKay, Edmonton, and Athabasca.
 
We represent many product lines for our Clients and Tridon has been recognized many times as the premier national Canadian Dealer for Motorola products and services and recently as well by Kenwood Canada.
 
We are a full CSA Certified Repair Center, a Motorola Platinum Service Centre, and a TELUS Customer Care Centre. 
 
But here at Tridon Communications, we do not measure ourselves by the products we sell, or represent.  We measure ourselves instead by the value we bring to our Clients, by the solutions we engineer, and by the urgency in which we respond to their needs be it an unplanned outage, a unique situation, or just something that only our expertice in the Oil Sands can resolve. 
 
We are serious about Service, one of the four cornerstones of our Company. 
 
Our second cornerstone is Expertise. Combined we have many hundreds of years of expertice in the areas of professional RF Engineering,  project management, path studies, tower maintenance, evacuation alarm systems, mine truck dispatch systems, AVL/GPS, wireless LAN, remote site access, satellite telephony, wireless data and of course both conventional and trunked radio systems whether they be IP or analog based. 
 
Our remaining two cornerstones of equal and self evident importance are Ethical Practices and Safety. 
 
Collectively they form not only the foundation but also the guiding principles of our business, and our lives.
