The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for Accounts Payable System maintenance in support of Tridon Communicationsí financial operations. The incumbent will perform invoice processing, coding and verification, invoice payment, vendor statement reconciliation, account reconciliations and other accounting duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
o Ensure all work is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
o Ensure Accounts Payable Sub Ledger is accurate.
o Process vendor invoices for payment according to documented procedures.
o Identify discrepancies and ensure discrepancies are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.
o Verify coding of vendor invoices according to supporting documents and direction of the Accounting Supervisor.
o Verify vendor statements to invoices posted in the Accounts Payable Sub Ledger.
o Respond to vendor queries and ensure vendor invoices are paid within terms.
o Maintain vendor records and files.
o Administer petty cash and employee expenses and reconcile company credit card statement.
o Reconcile cash and credit/debit receipts daily for various locations including reconciliation of clearing accounts and preparation of journal entries.
o Other duties as required.

The Accounts Payable Clerk will work in an office setting and must abide by the company dress code.
High School Diploma
Diploma or Certificate from an Accredited College in similar field, or equivalent experience
Experience and Training
1 - 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
Purchase Order and Receiving matching process experience considered an asset
Superior accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Able to be assertive but maintain professionalism
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able and willing to take direction
The Accounts Payable Clerk must be able to spend most of the day sitting however, walking and standing occasionally. The incumbent will be also required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a possibility of eye and/or joint strain related to operating computer equipment.
