Trunking Radio

Trunking radio systems constantly reassign the frequencies utilized for a specific talk group requesting service. This allows for more efficient utilization of limited frequencies because each conversation request does not require a full time dedicated channel. Motorola Trunked radio systems utilize a "Control" channel and the data passed via the control channel instructs each radio in the system which frequency to switch to in order to remain on the selected talk group.
